The X5 has a tyre pressure sender unit which is located with a dissimilar metal, this in turn corrodes the aluminum alloy wheel and therefore the wheel leaks air.
In leaking air the warning light continues to be illuminated on the dashboard, it is possible to turn of the sender unit to remove the warning light until a new wheel is purchased a very costly solution as a new wheel is approx £650.
At Exmol we have a tried and tested method of repairing the wheel, you can still use the sender unit with a saving of £500.
